    When Dave Niemann began working at Van Velzor’s House of Music in 1977, one of the first things he did was start an organ club and began teaching lessons so he could share his love of organ playing with store customers.  Van Velzor’s is now Niemann Music, but the organ club is still going strong, now as the Cheyenne Roland Organ Club.

   The Cheyenne Roland Organ Club currently meets on Thursdays at 2:00 PM at the music store.  Meetings are informal and fun, with plenty of coffee and cookies to go around.  Each week, Dave passes out a new piece of music for the club members to work on, and each week, everyone who wants has the opportunity to sit at the organ and perform last week’s music for the rest of the club.  One of the best things about performing music on a Roland organ is that with so many combinations of sounds and rhythms to choose from, every interpretation is different!
